Two limits control how much exposure you can take: a per-market limit and a per-event limit. Both are calculated against your account's original value — not its current balance — and both are cumulative, meaning they apply to your total holdings rather than to any individual trade.
Both limits are identical in evaluations and funded accounts.
Purchased before July 30, 2026? Accounts purchased before this date use a 5% per-trade limit and a 10% per-event limit. See Rules for Accounts Purchased Before July 30, 2026.
Per-market limit
You may hold up to 1.9% of your account's original value in a single market on $1,000–$50,000 accounts, and up to 2.48% on $100,000 and $1,000,000 accounts, measured in contracts, not dollars.
Because the limit is cumulative, adding to an existing position counts toward it. On a $10,000 account, for example, you can hold 190 contracts in a market — whether that's one trade of 190 contracts or several smaller trades that add up to 190.
Per-event limit
Across all markets belonging to a single event, you may hold up to twice the per-market limit: 3.8% on $1,000–$50,000 accounts and 4.96% on $100,000 and $1,000,000 accounts.
An event is the underlying thing being traded — a single game, election, or resolution date — and it may contain many markets, such as the moneyline, spread, total, and player props for one game. Positions across all of those markets count toward the same event limit. Positions in three different games count toward three separate event limits.
In practice, this means you can hold one maximum position in a market, and at most two maximum positions spread across a single event.
Limits by tier
Account Size | Per Market | Per Event |
$1,000 | 19 contracts | 38 contracts |
$5,000 | 95 contracts | 190 contracts |
$10,000 | 190 contracts | 380 contracts |
$25,000 | 475 contracts | 950 contracts |
$50,000 | 950 contracts | 1,900 contracts |
$100,000 | 2,480 contracts | 4,960 contracts |
$1,000,000 | 24,480 contracts | 49,600 contracts |
There is no account-wide exposure limit
There is no cap on your total exposure across the platform. You can hold maximum positions across as many separate events as you like — the limits above only apply within a single market and within a single event.
We impose these rules to encourage healthy risk-taking strategies in our traders.
