Why My Positions, Odds, or Balances Look Wrong

What to do when market data or a trade doesn't display correctly

If a market title, description, price, or position looks incorrect, this is usually a known data issue that resolves itself. Omen's market data is sourced from Polymarket, and Polymarket occasionally sends faulty or delayed data that can briefly affect what you see in the app.

What to try first

  • Search for the market directly. Even when a position or dashboard entry displays incorrectly, the market itself is usually fine, and you can still buy or sell the positions you need from the market page.

  • Wait a few moments and refresh. Most display issues clear on their own once corrected data arrives.

  • Check what each figure means. Equity, buying power, and position value each measure something different, and a number that looks wrong is sometimes the wrong number to be looking at. See How to Interpret the Dashboards.

Positions between market close and resolution

Omen relies on Polymarket for both pricing and market resolution. There is a known issue where Polymarket can report inaccurate position values in the window between a market closing and that market officially resolving. During this window, an open position may show a value in your dashboard that does not reflect the outcome the market will settle at.

If you believe a position should have resolved in your favor:

  1. Check the official market on Polymarket first. If the market has not resolved there yet, the value shown on Omen is expected to be provisional and will correct itself on resolution.

  2. If the official market has resolved and your position still looks wrong, open a support chat and ask for a human to review your account manually.

We have measures in place to protect your loss limit from being affected by inaccurate pricing data in the period between market close and official resolution.

When to report it

If the problem persists, affects your ability to trade, or looks like it has affected your balance, report it. Post in #bug-reports in the Omen Discord, or open a support ticket from the Profile tab in the app. Include your account number and a screenshot if you can.
